REUNICE - Research with and for society in EUNICE

REUNICE responds to the principle of serving the global and local communities by building effective cooperation between science and society in an innovative way, creating an extended involvement of citizens, civil society and public authorities in the fields of research and innovation.

To achieve this ambitious goal and promote a stronger link between science and society, the alliance will recruit new talents for science and pair scientific excellence with social awareness and responsibility.
REUNICE promotes:
* Cooperation between universities and other sectors
* Open Science as result of EUNICE researchers’ collaboration
* Excellence in education, research and innovation, fostering diversity, inclusiveness and gender equality
* Sustainable Science for Business and Society, in line with current and future challenges of European Universities.

The universities participating in the SwafS call are the members of the European University Alliances. EUNICE is among the beneficiaries of H2020 project because REUNICE’s project enhances the quality and competitiveness of the activities within the consortium. Local industry, communities and member universities will also benefit from the project, which contributes to the development of a society based on knowledge and innovation.

REUNICE PLATFORMS

The workshop will present the 3 platforms developed within the REUNICE project and will allow collaboration with EUNICE European University researchers

Expertise Exchange Platform powered by Catalyst

Platform that will serve as a bridge between university entities and other social institutions and industrial centers, operating on the principle of a virtual marketplace. The platform, through the creation of campaigns, will allow users to submit (1) needs for technological solutions, (2) ideas for joint projects, (3) problems to be solved, as well as (4) needs for competencies. At the same time, users of the platform will be able to submit their solutions and discuss ways to develop the best possible solutions. In addition, the platform will support the process of evaluation of submitted ideas. It is worth noting that the platform will operate not only at the local level, within the EUNICE partnership, but will also be available to other European universities and representatives of the socio-economic environment.

An Intelligent Blockchain-based collaborative platform for Open Science

Platforms to connect people involved in research and projects in similar areas. The entire platform uses AI and blockchain to facilitate connections between users. The platform works by analysing open source materials, such as publications, books and project descriptions, to automatically process and identify links between the work of different people. This approach allows more efficient identification of professionals working on similar topics, potentially fostering future collaboration.

Mobirise Website Builder
The platform for sharing AI related competences of EUNICE Universities

Platform to bring together AI professionals from EUNICE universities, facilitate the exchange of AI research ideas and promote collaboration and integration with industrial and societal partners. It provides a place where AI researchers can describe their achievements, expertise, competencies and also physical and software resources. At the same time, intelligent searching inside the platform allows queries to be matched to content on the platform to quickly connect those with the right competencies to the challenges at hand.
